Sidewalk chalk is so much fun! Pick some up at the local Dollar Store. Go to your neighbors’ and write blessings for them on the street that connects to their driveway. (They might not want it on their actual driveway-so respect that part).
Cast this vision for your kids: Our words are very powerful. We can use them to tear people down or build them up. Today we are going to build our neighbors up with words of hope and blessing. Let you kids come up with some things to write. (Examples: God loves you, God bless you, You are…great, amazing, wonderful.)
Kingdom Connection: When we give our children opportunities to use their words for blessings they will begin to practice it in all areas of their lives. How powerful would it be if everything that came out of our mouth was a benefit to everyone who listens.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
