Building gratefulness is one of the most powerful things we shape in our children’s hearts.

Make thank you cards for the people in your life. Grandparents, teachers, mailmen, firemen, police officers, people that sack your groceries, neighbors- anyone the Lord brings to mind. Make sure and write one to siblings, mom and dad too! Sometimes we forget to be grateful to the ones closest to us!

Supplies: paper, markers, crayons, scissors & glue (if you like a mess). Get creative and use paper sacks, newspaper, magazines. But remember the main idea is the big THANK YOU-not so much the design of card.

Kingdom Connection: Before you deliver the handmade cards- put them all in a stack and have each family member pray over the people that will receive the cards. Pray for blessings, good health, God’s favor- whatever the Lord brings to mind.

I will give You thanks with all my heart- Psalm 138:1a

“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.”  -Henri Frederic Amiel (Swiss Philosopher from 1800’s)
