Time to Read: 1 minute
Grab a little brown lunch sack and gather the kids for a treasure(nature) hunt walk. You can do this in your neighborhood or at a park.
Cast vision by saying, “God has given us so many treasures that are just laying around and I believe it is time to collect a few.”
You might have to pick up the first treasure to show kids what a “treasure” is- a leaf, flower, rock, etc.
Kingdom Connection: Stop after each treasure is found and say- “Thank you God for your beautiful Creation– I love it!” When we train our children to see the value (the treasure) in the small things they will have a heart filled with appreciation for all things.
***If you want to take it to the next level glue all the found treasures on a piece of paper and hang it in their room or on the ‘frig. Write thank you somewhere on the masterpiece.
