How do I create family connections with all this worldly chaos?

Listen to Audio

As parents, we have the opportunity to help guide our families through the chaos of the world. Want to know how?

Here are a few key ways to stay connected and grounded as a family:

  1. Be anchored in the Word of God.
This is the most important step. As parents, we’re the ones our children look to for answers and stability. That’s why it’s essential for us to be deeply rooted in God’s Word. The Bible reminds us time and time again that God is faithful, regardless of the circumstances or the state of the world. His faithfulness never changes—it’s who He is and always will be.
  2. Keep open lines of communication.
Talk to your kids about what’s happening in the world and in the news. If you can be the first to explain things to them, they’ll feel more secure when they hear about it from others. Open, honest conversations build a sense of safety and trust.
  3. Ask questions to understand their feelings.
Take time to ask your children how they’re feeling about what’s happening around them. They might not have all the answers or even fully understand, but showing that you care about what’s on their minds helps build trust and strengthens your relationship.

When the world feels chaotic, these three practices—anchoring in God’s Word, fostering open communication, and listening to their feelings—can help create a safe and secure environment for your family.
