1 John 3:16 says, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his love for us."
A chapter over in 1 John 4:19, John says, "We love because he first loved us."
At Crazy Cool Family, we talk a lot about showing our kids a God worth following.
The God John talks about here is a God worth following.
A God who loves us so much he laid down his life for us.
Can we as parents focus on showing our kids the love of God this year?
The fear of God makes us obey on the outside, but the love of God lets us live in faith from the inside to the outside.
The fear of God is good, but the love of God is so much greater.
We -- and our kids -- need to understand the fear of God but we need to be amazed and enthralled at the love of God!
Do you have in your heart a God worth following and are you showing your kids a God worth following? They will follow that God for the rest of their lives.
