Wait, did you say no condemnation?

Wait, did you say no condemnation?

Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” wait did that say “no?” like “none?” Not any? Because as a parent, sometimes we feel endless amounts of condemnation and guilt.

Wait, did you say no condemnation?

The definition of condemnation is the expression of very strong disapproval. The enemy would love for you to believe the Lord does not approve of you, but this is not true. If you are in Christ Jesus, you are free from condemnation because he has made a way for you, through the cross, to be at peace with God.

The Word says His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), His kindness leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His grace is sufficient for with his power being made perfect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). Our Heavenly Father is kind to meet us where we are and give us what we need.

Often times we forget these heavenly realities because there is intense pressure put on us by ourselves and society. It leaves us feeling down and guilty. Take time today to remind yourself of the “approval” we have in Christ and the freedom He from condemnation he provides.
