Relationships are Key

Why Do we Call it Crazy?

We sometimes get asked, “Why do you call it Crazy Cool? I don’t want my family to be crazy!”

Why Do we Call it Crazy?

Great question.

The truth is—God’s ways are crazy to the world.

God told Gideon to shrink his army to just 300 men.

David faced off against a giant with only a sling.

God commanded the Israelites to march around Jericho seven times.

Jesus tells us to turn the other cheek.

James says to consider it pure joy when we face trials.

To us, “crazy” means different.

If we do family the world’s way, we’ll get the world’s results: depression, lack of purpose, anxiety, stress, hopelessness, and exhaustion.

But when we follow God’s “crazy” ways, we receive something entirely different: love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control.

Crazy means we pursue relationships over performance.

We give rather than looking out for ourselves.

We reconcile and forgive instead of holding grudges.

We bring hope into the room instead of complaints.

So now we’ll ask you a question:

Do you want to be crazy?
