An Awesome Prayer for Your Children

I’ve been memorizing this scripture recently, and it touched my heart so deeply that Suzanne and I began praying it over you as parents. Now, we want you to pray it over your children!

For an extra challenge, try memorizing it (or place it somewhere handy) so you can pray it often.

“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
— Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV)

Wow! Isn’t that an amazingly powerful prayer for your child?

• We want them to have power from the Spirit to overcome life’s challenges.
• We want Christ to dwell in their hearts every day.
• We want them to be rooted and established in both our love and God’s love.
• We want them to be filled with the fullness of God.

Take a moment right now to speak this life-giving verse over each of your children—out loud if you can. The prayer of a parent is powerful!
