In Proverbs 3:16-18 this is how wisdom is described...
She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her;
those who hold her fast will be blessed.
What a rich passage and what a compliment that would be to be described like this. What if people around us saw us this way? What if our spouses and kids described us this way?
As a parent we are faced with a million opportunities to make decisions. These decisions are constant and often overwhelming. We need wisdom. We need our lives, our homes, and our families to be marked by wisdom. Today as you are out and about making all the decisions, ask God to give you wisdom and help you to be a Proverbs 3 parent.
