Parents, one of the hard things we must ask ourselves is: "Are we missing out on our kid's childhood because we are hungry for the distraction of our phones?"
What we found with our kids is that we will get on our phone as a distraction or an escape. It's as if, we don't want to be in the 'two-year-old world' anymore. We want to mindlessly watch Marco Polo, scroll through Instagram, or sift through old emails- anything to get a moment with our own thoughts.
Can you relate?
We see other moms and dads doing it too - at the grocery store or a park when the kids are playing, and the parents are sitting on a bench checked out and scrolling... .
We must step back and consider, "Hey, I might be missing out on these childhood moments because I'm too busy checking my emails, or my bank balance, scrolling through Facebook, or whatever it is."
It’s not too late to choose your family over your phone today - start by putting down the phone and making a memory with your kids!
