Ever heard this verse?
1 Peter 5:8-9 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Today's tip is more of an awareness reminder – the enemy wants to devour your family. This isn’t designed to scare you – because remember, our God is the Almighty One and His perfect love casts out fear.
It’s more of a reminder to be aware.
The enemy wants to rob our kids of purity by exposing them to the world’s culture BUT GOD can protect their hearts and minds.
The enemy wants to divide our family’s relationships and isolate us BUT GOD can help us strengthen relationships daily.
The enemy wants you to feel hopeless when it comes to your family’s culture BUT GOD gave you His word and His Spirit to guide you DAILY and give you inspiring new ways to connect your family.
The enemy will try to pollute our family’s minds with His “truths” which are usually skewed truth or straight up lies. He wants to cause confusion, division, and isolation. He wants to rob our kids of their purity and pull them away from their Creator God – who loves them and has a plan for their life.
As parents, be on the lookout for the tactics of the enemy in the public eye and in the isolation/private places your kids are. Be watchful of ways the enemy is trying to cause harm.
Lastly, put your hope in Jesus. His resurrection power DEFEATS sin and darkness every time. There’s no need to fear but we can be aware.
John 1:5 says,
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Jesus is the light, and He reigns over family. Take a minute before moving on from this email and pray for your family. Speak light over any dark places and command the enemy to flee in Jesus’ name.
