Why is bedtime so hard for parents (and kids!)!?
Often for parents it is one of the hardest parts of the day. We always say, “come on let’s finish strong.” meaning that we are tired and weary, and we don’t want to do this anymore.
What if we flipped this for you a bit? Instead of dragggging to the end of the day just to get them in bed so we can finally have our break....
What if we received actual vision from God for bedtime?
What if we ask God how we could end the day well? End the day by making sure our kids know how loved they are - by us AND the Lord. Simply slowing down bedtime can make space to invest in those last moments.
If you're feeling empty, weary, or unable to give to your kids much during bedtime; ask God to fill you up with His Spirit right now. Ask Him to give you a fresh filling right before bedtime starts. Like wind in your sails to reach the destination well – simply ask and believe in faith.
And remember that these days do not last forever!
Let’s step into them with endurance and joy!
