When we connect our children to God, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha and Omega, Creator, Healer, Savior and friend then they come alive.
Being connected to God gives us the purpose we need to live our lives here on earth. It gives us hope in all things and is our comfort in times of need. A strong relationship with God gives us wisdom to live a life of righteousness. We want all those things for our kids. We want them to be ALIVE!
How can we connect our kids to God? By using the acronym ALIVE.
A – ASK- this simply means to pray and ask God for our children's salvation.
L – LIVE – living out what it looks like to follow Jesus is the best way for our kids to want to follow him too.
I – IMPRESS – press God’s word into your children whenever you can. All along the way be teaching them the truth of the Bible.
V – VALIDATE – Allow your kids to be curious about the things of God. Let them ask questions and explore with them.
E – EXPERIENCE – Do activities or be a part of things where they get to experience God. Let them come into worship with you, read them Bible stories, share testimonies with them – just include them in what God is already doing in your life.
We can be ALIVE in God, and we can help our kids to be ALIVE in God too. You got this parent!
