Often, we tell parents, we must sell Jesus to our kids. We must be more in sales and less in operations when it comes to parenting.
What we mean is – we are in a battle – and the enemy wants to win over our kid’s hearts. We are called, as parents, to raise our kids to love Jesus. To show them the true Gospel and how loving Jesus’s choice was/is to save us.
Sadly, most parents are doing an average – at best- job of showing (or selling) our kids on the AMAZING, POWERFUL, UNLIMITED love of God.
How do we change this in our home? How do we sell our kids on loving Jesus?
3 Ways to Sell:
- You increase your belief in Jesus. It’s the most important thing you will do as a parent. Everything is possible for him who believes.
- Talk about Jesus every chance we get. Along the way is a phrase we encourage you to memorize and practice- wherever you are, bring Jesus' name into the conversation.
- Replace things of the world with the things of God. Choose life-giving experiences for your family over the things the world uses to grab our attention and affection.
